Well, I fiddled and fiddled until I got my templates right. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with this one. No promises on how often I'll update, but I will try to update often. SO, anyway, here is my inaugural post... Ta DA!!!
Anyway, I like emacs as a text editor. I had tried to use it on my Mac many times, but the versions were either terminal only, or some functionality didn't work quite right. I finally found Aquamacs Emacs which REALLY works well. They created enough .el GUI extensions that when I hit a familiar Mac command it works, AND when I hit an emacs key combo that works too. So it really does "just work" and get out of my way.
IF you are an emacs user and on Mac OS X I can't recommend it highly enough. They even developed good OS X style help for it. Bravo.
Point two I've been saving up... I have been reading a lot of comics again and hope to start updating Necris' Comics Site soon again. I never really stopped reading, just stopped taking the time to talk about them here and do cover scans. Hopefully I will be able to get Tams interested again too. Just as a quick update, however, I cannot recommend DC highly enough right now. Starting with "Identity Crisis" and going on through the current "Infinite Crisis" DC is putting out some of the best mainstream comics work I've read in a long time. Bar known.
If you are a Batman fan that has been out of the loop for a while I'd recommend picking up "Batman:Hush" too. Written by Jeph Loeb (In my opinion one of the BEST Batman writers EVER (see "Batman: The Long Halloween" and "Batman: Dark Victory" for more...) GOOD stuff.
Well, that's about it for now, see you next time!
